Ergens in het verre Oosten vinden vader en zoon O'Connell het mausoleum van een zekere keizer Han. Het mausoleum blijkt het gemummificeerde lichaam van de keizer te bevatten. Maar het graf blijkt geheimen met zich mee te dragen, en beide onderzoekers ontdekken dat Han was vervloekt. Deze vloek blijkt nu, tweeduizend jaar later, nog steeds te gelden.
